Seeking Mentoring Opportunities Through Heaven’s Reach Ministries' website

By using the Heaven’s Reach Ministries website to become and serve as a Volunteer and/or a partner, you certify that:

(a) You have a legitimate interest in providing guidance, support, and encouragement aimed at developing the competence and character of children, young people, and/or adults. 

(b) You have not committed any crime against a minor, including child abuse, sexual acts, and pornography;

(c) You will not use Heaven’s Reach Ministries' services or website, or any program to harm a minor in any way;

(d) You understand that you will be subject to whatever screening is required by the Organization(s) you express an interest in, which may include inquiries into your background;

(e) You understand that Heaven’s Reach Ministries does not guarantee your acceptance to be a part of any Organization, as such decisions are made by the individual Organizations.

(f) You understand that Heaven’s Reach Ministries makes no representations or warranties as to the conduct of other Volunteers or Organizations;

(g) It is your sole responsibility to inquire into the nature of any Organization and to take reasonable precautions in all interactions with members of the Organization and others, including children, you meet through the Organization.

(h) You will act in the furtherance of the objectives of the Organization to which you are applying, and you will not partake in any activities that are of detriment to the organization, the children it serves, or to its objectives; and

(i) You will represent your identity, skills, and background accurately in your application.

Disclaimer of Liability

You agree that there is no confidential or any other special relationship that is or should be formed by use of the Heaven’s Reach Ministries website or information contained on the website.

Heaven’s Reach Ministries expressly denies liability and undertakes no responsibility for the conduct of Organizations or individuals working with Organizations that are listed on the Heaven’s Reach Ministries website. While Heaven’s Reach Ministries is not obligated to do so, Heaven’s Reach Ministries reserves the right to screen or conduct background checks on any individuals or Organizations registered with the Heaven’s Reach Ministries website.

You agree that you bear all risks associated with the use of any information on the Heaven’s Reach Ministries website and any interactions with Organizations found through the Heaven’s Reach Ministries website, including but not limited to joining, visiting facilities of, and meeting with individual mentors or mentees.

In the event anyone is harmed in any way by any Organization or individual associated with any Organization, you hereby release Heaven’s Reach Ministries, its officers, employees, agents and successors in rights from claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind or nature, known or unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes and/or Heaven’s Reach Ministries service. These links do not imply Heaven’s Reach Ministries' endorsement or sponsorship of such third parties.

Interactive Features

The Heaven’s Reach Ministries website may provide interactive features that permit users to provide feedback to Heaven’s Reach Ministries and interact with other users. Each user is responsible for the content of their posts on community areas of the Heaven’s Reach Ministries website, such as bulletin boards, forums, and chat rooms. SMS Messaging Terms & Compliance

Program Description:

This messaging program sends updates and information. Also, it sends appointment confirmation, reminder, and follow-up messages to volunteers, partners, and clients who have booked an appointment with Heaven’s Reach Ministries through our website at Heavensreach.org, or via our scheduling forms, and have explicitly opted in to receive SMS notifications. Opt-in is collected via web forms with a dedicated checkbox for SMS consent. Messages include scheduling confirmations, appointment reminders, rescheduling updates, and customer support communications.

Cancellation Instructions:

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text “STOP” to the same number that sent you messages. Upon sending “STOP,” we will confirm your unsubscribe status via SMS. Following this confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, sign up as you did initially, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.

Our SMS program works with all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most regional carriers.

Age Restriction:

You must be 18 years or older to participate in our SMS program.
